Michael J. Rucker – CEO/Master Builder
Michael founded Kindred Homes after working in the residential and commercial building industry for more than 20 years. His career path has afforded him the opportunity to see all aspects of the building process. His career began with the Jack Nicklaus Development Corporation in Country Club of the South where he worked in Marketing and Development. Prior to starting Kindred Homes, Michael spent 10 years with McCar Homes where he worked closely with homeowners as a Master Builder, Regional Quality Assurance Manager, Customer Service Manager, and Area Manager for Atlanta’s North Eastern Region. During his time with McCar, he spent two years building the owner’s personal estate on Lake Lanier. Prior to working with McCar, Michael worked as a Construction Manager for The Pacific Group and as a Project Manager for Ashton Woods Homes. He has also spent time with Ricks Contractors, Inc. managing $3 to $4 million commercial contracts which involved renovating Atlanta Technical College Library, Clayton County Performing Arts Center, and Church Street Elementary School.
Chad P. Ricks – COO/Builder
Chad co-founded Kindred Homes after working in the commercial building industry for almost 10 years. His time with Ricks Contractors, Inc. was spent as a Field Superintendent, Estimator, Project Manager, and Vice President. Chad managed projects for many different architectural and design firms, such as: Cunningham Forehand Mathews & Moore, J.W. Robinson & Associates, and Lyman Davidson Dooley. He has overseen the daily operations of projects ranging from 9,000sf with a price over $2,000,000 to 32,000sf with a price over $8,000,000. His ability to analyze blueprints, specifications and proposals allows him to estimate cost prior to construction which leads to the perfect combination of time, cost and quality. Some of Chad’s projects include: North Forsyth High School, Statham Elementary School, and Cobb Country Fire Station #9 and #28. He has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Construction Management from Southern Polytechnic State University.
Jennifer R. Rucker – Office Mgr./Design Coordinator
Jennifer has worked in Accounts Receivables/Payables for more than 15 years. She was the Accounts Receivable Manager for Matrix Resources, a large IT placement firm, for four years. After leaving Matrix, she joined Ricks Contractors, Inc. as the Office Manager. During her time with Ricks Contractors she managed job cost, subcontracts, purchase orders, along with all accounts receivables/payables and payroll. Jennifer has built many homes with her husband, Michael, co-founder of Kindred Homes. During the construction process she works closely with design specialist and is involved in all aspects of the homes design finishes. Jennifer has a Bachelor Degree in Business Management from Berry College.
